The more the merrier!
It’s a party! Everybody come! I want a big crowd! The more the merrier!
Or, in French, Venez nombreux! Literally, come numerous. Come, and bring a crowd!
Nombreux is an adjective. It’s not an adverb, which is what you would expect here–something describing the manner in which you come: Venez vite, for example (come quickly), or Venez doucement (come quietly).
Instead, it’s a separate thought. Since venez can apply to just one person or a group, this expression emphasizes the group: Come, but not just you individually: bring your friends too, and lots of them!
Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go move to a bigger house. This one’s not big enough for all of you.
