Come on, let’s have a little more enthusiasm here. Be positive! Assert yourself!

That’s more like it. Because that’s what you are saying here: that you are certain he’s coming.

You see, aucun(e) means not one, not any. But why can’t you just sayIl vient, sans doute? Because that conveys a far lesser degree of certainty. It means He’s probably coming. It sounds more like trying to convince yourself that he’s coming, when you really aren’t very sure.


Because. That’s why. I have no better reason for you. That’s just the way it is. Sans doute, someone, somewhere, thought it would be a good idea.
